Merge Rainbow Fighting Review & Gameplay Guide
I just spent the last few hours playing Merge Rainbow Fighting, and I've got to say, it's been a wild ride. I mean, the name of the game alone had me curious - what could possibly happen when you merge rainbows and fighting? I was expecting something cheesy and probably not that great, but I was pleasantly surprised. The game is basically a puzzle fighter, where you merge different colored tiles to create powerful attacks and take down your opponents.
At first, the game seems really simple. You're just merging tiles and watching the numbers go up, but as you progress through the levels, it gets way more complicated. The tiles start to have different effects, like some will freeze your opponent's tiles or turn them into useless junk. It's actually pretty strategic, and I found myself getting really into it, trying to figure out the best combinations to take down the bad guys. The graphics are also really colorful and fun, it's like a party on the screen.
But, as much as I enjoyed the gameplay, the story is basically non-existent. You're just fighting against a bunch of random enemies, and there's no real motivation or plot to speak of. I mean, I'm not expecting a Shakespearean drama or anything, but a little bit of context would be nice. It feels like the developers just threw some levels together and hoped for the best. And, to be honest, the sound effects and music are also pretty lacking. The sound of the tiles merging gets old after a while, and the music is just this annoying, repetitive tune that I ended up muting after a few hours.
Despite the lack of story and mediocre sound design, I still found myself having a lot of fun playing Merge Rainbow Fighting. The game is just so addictive, and the sense of satisfaction you get from merging a bunch of tiles and unleashing a massive attack is really rewarding. I also appreciate that the game doesn't try to nickel and dime you with microtransactions or anything. You can buy in-game currency, but it's not necessary, and you can still progress through the levels without spending a dime.
As I kept playing, I started to notice some minor issues with the game. The levels can get a bit repetitive, and sometimes the game would freeze up or slow down. It's not a huge deal, but it's annoying when you're in the middle of a tough fight and the game just decides to stop working. I'm hoping the developers will patch these issues out, because it would really improve the overall experience. Overall, I'd say Merge Rainbow Fighting is a fun, if flawed, game that's worth checking out if you're a fan of puzzle fighters or just looking for something a little different.
I'm not sure how much replay value Merge Rainbow Fighting has, but for now, I'm still enjoying it. I've got a few more levels to go before I beat the game, and I'm curious to see what the final boss is like. Maybe I'll come back and update this review once I've finished the game, but for now, I'd say it's definitely worth a try. Just don't expect a super complex story or anything, and you'll be fine. It's a fun, lighthearted game that's perfect for playing on the couch or during a break at work.
