I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical when I first downloaded MakeOver Glow Up Match. I mean, it's a match three game, and we've all played those before, right? But I have to admit, the idea of giving characters makeovers and competing in little competitions was kinda intriguing. So, I decided to give it a shot and see what all the fuss was about. At first, it was pretty fun - the gameplay is your standard match three fare, but the twist of using the gems you collect to give your characters makeovers was a nice touch.

As I played more, though, I started to realize that the game is a lot more grindy than I expected. I mean, I get it, it's a free to play game, and they need to make money somehow, but it feels like the game is designed to nickel and dime you at every turn. Want to unlock a new character? That's gonna cost you some in-game currency, which you can either earn by playing the game or by buying it with real money. Want to get past a tough level? Better be prepared to watch some ads or spend some of that currency. It's not a huge deal, but it's definitely frustrating at times.

Despite the grindiness, I did find myself getting pretty hooked on the game. The levels can be pretty challenging, and it's satisfying to finally beat one that's been giving you trouble. Plus, the makeovers are actually pretty cool - it's fun to see your characters go from drab to fab, and there are a lot of different customization options to play with. The competitions are also a nice touch - you compete against other players to see who can give their character the best makeover, and it's a fun way to interact with other players.
