Friday Night Funkin PixelCrate Review & Gameplay Guide
I just spent the last few hours playing Friday Night Funkin PixelCrate and I gotta say, it's a wild ride. I've been a fan of the original Friday Night Funkin game for a while now, and when I heard about this pixelated version I just had to give it a shot. The first thing that hit me was the graphics - it's like someone took the original game and ran it through a filter that makes everything look like it's from a Super Nintendo game or something. It's actually pretty cool, and it gives the game a really unique look that sets it apart from the original.
The gameplay is basically the same as the original - you're still tapping buttons in time with the music to progress through the levels. But the pixelated graphics and the new soundtrack really give it a fresh feel. I was a bit worried that the new soundtrack wouldn't live up to the original, but I was pleasantly surprised. The music is catchy and fun, and it's easy to get sucked into the rhythm of the game. I found myself playing for hours without even realizing it, which is always a good sign.
One thing that I didn't like as much was the difficulty curve. I'm not gonna lie, some of the levels are straight up hard. I mean, I've played the original Friday Night Funkin game a lot, so I'm pretty familiar with the gameplay, but some of the levels in PixelCrate had me retrying like ten times before I finally beat them. It's not a bad thing, necessarily - it's actually kind of satisfying when you finally beat a tough level. But it can get frustrating at times, especially if you're not as experienced with rhythm games.
Despite the occasional frustration, I had a blast playing Friday Night Funkin PixelCrate. The game has a lot of personality, and the pixelated graphics really add to the charm. I also appreciate that the game is free, which is always a bonus. I mean, you can't beat free, right? Overall, I'd definitely recommend PixelCrate to fans of the original game or just rhythm games in general. It's a fun, unique take on the genre, and it's definitely worth checking out.
I do wish there were more levels, though. I ended up beating the game in like five hours, which isn't a lot of time. I know it's a free game and all, but it feels like there could be more content. Maybe the developers could add more levels or even a level editor or something. That would be awesome. As it stands, though, PixelCrate is still a really fun game that's definitely worth playing. And who knows, maybe the developers will add more content in the future.
Overall, I'm really glad I played Friday Night Funkin PixelCrate. It's a fun, charming game that's perfect for fans of rhythm games or just anyone looking for something new to play. The pixelated graphics and catchy soundtrack make it a unique take on the genre, and the gameplay is just as addictive as the original. So if you're looking for a fun, free game to play, I'd definitely recommend giving PixelCrate a shot. Just be prepared for some tough levels - you've been warned.
